Martin Luther’s reformation had implications that extended beyond theology into all areas of European cultural life, including the fine arts. Professors Mark Mattes and Daniel Siedell have spent much of their recent careers tracing the important connections between theology and art, especially those suggested by Luther.
Prior to our February 18 Vern Gundermann Reformation Heritage Lecture (7 pm), you are invited to join us at noon in Concordia University’s Library Technology Center for a conversation with Drs. Mattes and Siedell on Theology, Art, and Beauty, moderated by Dr. David Lumpp (CSP Professor Emeritus). This conversation is open to the public, students, faculty, and staff.
